I don’t want to get ahead of myself, but the Redskins seem off to a good start. Good start, that’s it. The hopefull talk of playoffs is way premature …
Chuckles and bandwagoning aside, it’s nice to start the season with a win against a division rival on a beautiful – and emotional – sunny afternoon, no less.
Were the Redskins the better team? Seemed to be to this fan. Even if Antrel Rolle seems sure the Giants could beat us 95 times out of 100:
“We as a team and as an organization, we know that the Washington Redskins is not a better team than us. We know that hands down. If we played them 100 times, they might win five.”
Whoa, that’s pretty impressive. Even 16-0 teams don’t beat 0-16 teams 95 times out of 100, do they? That’s why it’s the NFL, and every game counts. Every season, there’s the random upset that comes out of nowhere. But I don’t think this was it, despite what the Giants think.
I still think we’ll be lucky to go .500 this year – have you seen the December schedule? Oh but we’ll play the Giants again, and … well, we shall see.
Any way you look at it, we have a win under our belts and hopefully another this weekend against the Cardinals. Go ‘Skins!
